Student Research Activities

Student Research Group "Monetary and financial relations between Russia, Latin America and Spain"

Within the framework of student research, the Department of Language Training focuses on the following areas:

  • conducting international scientific-practical student conferences and round tables in English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian. Students of the Financial University who study at the Department of Language Training annually take part in the major student international and all-Russian events including the All-Russian Festival of Science, the Moscow Scientific and Practical Conference "Students' Science", the International Scientific Student Congress, the International Competition of Research Works of Students and PhD Students, etc. Every year, the Department of Language Training arranges student activities within the framework of the International Forum of the Financial University;
  • organizing creative contests in foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian);
  • conducting contests of translation of professional and economic texts;
  • celebrating Foreign Language Week (English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian)
  • within the Department of Language Training, the Student Research Group “Monetary and financial relations between Russia, Latin America and Spain" is carrying out studies using Spanish as a working language;
  • special popularity is enjoyed by the international francophone scientific and practical conference of students and young researchers "Franfinance" which is organized annually by the Department of Language Training with the support of the Embassy of France in Moscow, the French Institute in Russia and the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
  • special attention is paid to activities intended for foreign students and students of the Preparatory Faculty of the Financial University;
  • Every year the Language Training Department in collaboration with Macmillan Education Publishing House organizes the International English Language Olympiad for school students "The Bridges".
  • Student Research Groups working within the Language Training Department are close-knit teams of teachers and students working in a spirit of friendship and partnership to explore the world of science through the study of a foreign language.
